Facing the Truth of Anxiety

As this is my first blog post on here, I thought I would welcome you all by introducing you to what my purpose is for this blog.

Firstly, If you haven’t already, please check the ‘about me’ section to get to know me better and read my story behind creating this blog. If you haven’t already guessed this is a mental health/ advice page but hopefully it can help you even if you don’t struggle with a mental health problem. My whole idea for this blog is that you can come here when you’re feeling down, at rock bottom or even if you have a small problem and you don’t know what to do. I may not write a blog that is specific to you at the time, but please feel free to message me via my Instagram or email. I’m here to help you with whatever you’re going through. You may not feel as though you can talk to anyone about what you’re going through but please use this blog as a place to ‘take a rest’ and I mean that literally. Know that you’re not alone and there’s probably hundreds of people who are going through what you’re going through.

Also thought I’d also answer some questions that you’re probably wondering about.

‘What is the purpose of your title?’

For me, the title was the most important part; mostly because I wanted to display what my blog was about all through one to three words, which may I add was very hard to do. The reason I chose ‘we can conquer’ was that I wanted everybody to know that nothing is done alone, we’re in it together and whatever you’re going through, I or someone else can help you in
whatever way possible. I also wanted the title to show that anxiety or any mental health problem or issue that you may be struggling with right now, is not going to put you down. We will conquer whatever life throws at us and hopefully the words and encouragement that I put out to you all on this blog will help build up your confidence to go out and not let anxiety stop you from achieving what you want from life. Additionally, this is a part Christian blog; my title is mostly based on the hundreds of verses in the bible that state we’re courageous. I also wanted to use this platform to share with you all the encouraging words from the bible that have helped me in past situations. I know not all of you reading will be Christians, and that’s okay but even if it’s just through reading my blogs that you come to know the truths of God, and how God is the controller of all of our lives. If you turn to God with any anxious thought or problem, he’s the one who can help you!! ❤

‘ What content will you be posting on this blog?’

The blogs I post will be mostly centred around what I’ve just said but I have a page specifically called ‘ where’s the love’ where I will talk all about self love and loving others. I will hopefully post once a week, maybe more if I feel convicted to post a specific post. I will generally be posting from my own experience of situations and what I’ve learned but if there is a specific topic you want me to post about, I will try my best to write from my own knowledge, but I’m sorry if it may not be accurate.

I also want to say by no means is my advice correct; everybody has different coping mechanisms and I don’t expect all of you to agree with what I say, I just want to guide you in the right way and show you how I have coped through certain situations and that if I can (aka most anxious person ever, literally overthinks everything) you certainly can.

However, let’s go back to how anxiety starts and you may even want to know what anxiety is? You could be reading this with complete knowledge of why you struggle with anxiety but you could also be reading this blog with no knowledge at all on anxiety. You might even be here because you know someone who struggles with mental health and wants to know how to help them.

Knowing the early symptoms of anxiety…

Because I’m no scientist, I thought it would be best to look at the Mental Health Foundation, that say the symptoms of anxiety will usually affect your thoughts and behaviour. The common signs that have been known to occur are:

  • Restlessness
  • A feeling of dread
  • A feeling of being “on-edge”
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Irritability
  • It can also involve physical feelings such as dizziness, nausea, heart palpitations (a noticeably strong, fast heartbeat), sweating, shortness of breath, headache, or dry mouth.

You may be freaking out because you have those symptoms but you know you definitely don’t have an anxiety disorder, don’t worry that’s normal! Not everybody who experiences a panic attack or a moment of anxiety will have a condition. If anything, everybody in their life will experience some form of anxiety because it’s just a way of life. Again, I’m no scientist but I’ve seen a fair share of people who would say they never get anxious about something but then something occurs and they may have a panic attack.

For any of you who are unaware, a PANIC ATTACK, is a sudden period of severe anxiety in which your heart beats fast, you have trouble breathing, and you feel as if something very bad is going to happen. There may not be a reason as to why you experience it, but your body somehow reacts. Panic Attacks most commonly occur after something big happens; something that you’re unfamiliar with and wouldn’t have even thought of. Panic attacks can’t hurt you but sometimes in the moment, you honestly think you’re going to die. For people who haven’t experienced one, they won’t know the feelings that it can cause. I can say that several times I’ve actually hid the fact that I was having one because I didn’t know what the people around me would think. But, if we use our voices to speak up about panic attacks, hopefully we won’t have to feel guilty or embarrassed about what we’re going through.

I’m going to end this blog post by saying YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE HUMAN AND YOU HAVE A PURPOSE. We often forget the fact that we’re human and it’s not strange that we go through problems in our lives. If you’ve been open to someone about what you’re going through, you’re so brave and I encourage you to continue talking about anxiety, to raise awareness for those who may be more closed. If you’re someone who is here because of a friend, I encourage you to just be there for that person, don’t rush them into telling you what they’re going through, just support them with everything they do. Finally, if you’re someone who doesn’t believe the words that I just declared to you, just know that God knows it about you. You will eventually see what all your suffering has been for. I know all of you have great things coming for you.

It is the hard reality ” survival for fittest” since the beginning fight for bread and butter takes toll…but a well planned law enforcement in a territory /country make it feel less intense or even break free …that’s all the hard reality of truly evolving intellectual human wealth in the advanced hubs of decentralization…
